Print Page Infinity machining centre range announced by Hartford...
A new range of high accuracy, double-column, large capacity cantilever beam style machining centres have been announced by a leading machine tools producer.
Hartford has revealed that its Infinity series is able to extend and machine pieces up to 6,150 mm by 2,040 mm in lengths and on materials weighing up to 55 tonnes, with the new offerings being available solely through Ward CNC, its exclusive UK distributor.
The new range has seven different machine tools and is aimed at the mould and die, oil and gas, aerospace and large-capacity general machining sectors, while encompassing dimensions from HSA 2215's X-axis travel of 2,200 mm, Y-axis of 1,500 mm and Z-axis of 780 mm through to the HSA 6210 with 6,050 mm travel in X, 2,100 mm in Y and the option of 1,070 mm in Z.
Central to the rigidity of the machine tools' design is the use of a single casting for the spindle head that allows the spindle head and Z axis drive to be mounted on the same centre line.
Other optional extras include an NC rotary table, automatic tool length and diameter measurement, through-tool coolant supply, closed-loop linear scales, two-step spindle load monitoring and the choice of Mitsubishi, Heidenhain or Fanuc controls.
Ward CNC also supplies a number of machine tools from other companies, such as Hyundai-Kia, Union, Soraluce and Hankook.
